March in Portinatx

Portinatx: A summer dream

The Portinatx beaches area located in the northern part of island, 26 km. away from the capital city. They are always a good option to enjoy a calm and pleasant family holiday. Even though they are popular amongst tourists and surrounded by the hotels these beaches are away from the noise and busy atmosphere found in other tourist centres. Enjoy the calm side of Ibiza with fine-sanded, calm-watered beaches with a relaxing atmosphere. A natural, inviting scenery to relish unhurriedly. However, everything you need will be on hand.

Portinatx is ideal to drop anchor. You can easily disembark at the dock nearby S'Arenal Petit. A small promenade connects the beaches such as S'Arenal Gran de Portitantx, Es Portixol de Portinatx and the natural port known as Puerto del Rei. You can admire a rural and nautical atmosphere, cultural tradition, local gastronomy and small calas spotted with colourful llaüts and fishermen boats. During the day enjoy the sun, the beach, water sports, hiking routes, bike or boat excursions and great fun for the whole family. In the afternoon admire the best sunsets in a terrace with a sea view.

    How do I get there?

Due to Ibiza's popularity amongst tourist, the island is well connected. It is easy to get to Ibiza from the main Spanish and European capitals. From Spain you can get to Ibiza by plane or by ferry.

    BY PLANE

This is the most comfortable and fast way of getting to Ibiza. Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is located 7.5 kilometres from the capital city centre and has over 6 million passangers every year. It is the island's main connection especially with international tourism.

It has many flights from regular airlines and low cost airlines from cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Girona, Málaga, Sevilla, Valencia, Alicante, La Coruña, Vigo, Asturias... Inside the Balearics, there are flights to Mallorca and Menorca

During the low season the flying options are still varied. The majority of the routes depart from Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. In the summer months, there is a wider variety of destinations.

    GETTING AROUND IBIZA

Upon arriving at Ibiza Airport there is a bus stop and a taxi stop and car hire offices.

    Public Bus

<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Bus number 10</strong>: It connects the Airport with Ibiza's bus staton, the ort and San Jorge. The bus ticket is 3.20 euros per journey and the buses depart the airport every 20 or 30 minutes from approximately 06:30.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Bus number 9</strong>: It connects the Airport with San José and San Antonio tourist centre. This bus only operates from 01/06 to 30/09. The bus ticket is 3.20 euros per journey and it departs every hour/hour and a half from 07:00.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Taxi stop</strong>: Look for the taxi stand sign at the Terminal: Arrivals. Please ask for a receipt in the event of a possible claim.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Car Hire</strong>: If you want to get to know the island, the best option is to rent a car at the airport. Although there is an excellent bus network that connects the main tourist centres and beaches, a car is the best way to get around. Prices are higher during high season.</li>

    BY FERRY

You can get to Ibiza by ferry from Mainland Spain (Barcelona, Denia, Valencia) or from Mallorca and Formentera. This is a good option for those who love travelling by boat, those who dislike flying or if you need to travel with your own car.

If I book Flight + Hotel, when will I receive my travel documents?

Once the booking is confirmed you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The voucher for the hotel will be also sent by email plus the vouchers for any other services (car hire, transfer, travel insurance) if booked.

Please note that no flight tickets are sent due to most airlines using e-tickets. You only need to print our confirmation email where the Airline`s booking reference appears and take it with you to the airport with your ID/Passport documents.

Important: Some Low Cost Airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Wizzair, Blueair and others) now request all passengers to check-in online and print the Boarding Cards before departure through their corresponding websites. Failure to do so, these airlines will charge you a supplement at the airport.
