Puerto Rico: Endless beauty
Did you know that Puerto Rico is one of the areas on the island that has more sunlight during the year? Exclusive and elegant, Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful touristic centres of the island; famous for its luxurious hotels and nice white apartments that look as if they are hanging from the valley slope. Located on the Mogán coast, it is known for its excellent climate, lovely coast of soft and fine Saharan sand , its calm sea and exquisite gastronomic spots and stylish marina, where you see recreational boats as well as luxurious yachts.
We recommend you take the glass bottom boat whale watch excursions. At only a few kilometres you can visit the Angry Birds Activity Park, the shopping mall and walking along the pleasant promenade with colourful gardens, commercial areas, the nice Amadores beach, fancy restaurants... Many visitors practice water sports in this area, home to renowned Olympic champions.
Santa Ana Cathedral and la Vegueta distric
From the sea and the sky you will be able to see the Santa Ana Cathedral two twin towers, located in the aristocratic and cultural Vegueta district. Take a walk around the well kept, historic city centre, one of the best preserved on the island, and the stone-paved streets. It will help you understand Gran Canaria's past and present.
You will discover history's trace whilst disocover all the charming hideouts of the city. Around you you will find colourful and inviting cafès and restaurants, historical buildings... La Vegueta is a district of cultural fusion.
VISIT THE AMAZING VIEWPOINT
A rich heritage that you can admire in the historic city centre: Santa Ana Cathedral. This magnificent 7.000 square metre building was started in the 15th century. The expansion has finished in the 19th century and it combine Gothic, Neoclassical, local and Renaissance trends.
We recommend admiring the neoclassical facade, the impressive Gothic ceilingm the beautiful chapels... The Capilla de los Dolores (chapel) is highly recommended, created by Luján Pérez. Don't forge to climb to the viewpoint located in the bell tower, with beautiful views of the Port.
A PERFECT DAY
When you leave the Christian temple, you can visit the beautiful Patio de los Naranjos (Orange Tree Courtyard), that connects the Cathedral to the Museo Diocesano de Arte Sacro, also a must, and to the Plaza de Santa Ana (Santa Ana Square).

Jardín Botánico Canario
The Jardín Botánico Canario Viera y Clavijo (Canary Botanical Garden) is the largest in Spain and is located in one of the most amazing places on the Island, 7 kilometres away from the capital, in the Guinigada cliff.
We recommend a calm walk around the site, where you learn about the diverse local plantlife with over 500 different species. The best time to visit is during the Spring. Don't be scared if you encounter a lizard during your trip!
LOST NATURE
Gran Canaria's lost nature is simply amazing. During your visits you will se species such as the old laurisilva woods.
You cannot leave the premises with a photograph with the millenary Gran Canaria Dragó, a sacred tree, considered one of the oldest in the world and one of the strangest.
VISIT EL JARDÍN DE LAS ISLAS
We recommend visiting Plaza de Viera y Clavijo, the bridge that joins the districst of Vegueta and Triana and el Jardín de las Islas, where you can learn all about the Archipelago's plantlife.
The Botanical Garden has an exhibiton centre with videos and interactive exhibitions, for those who want to expand their knowledge.

La Cumbre and Roque Nublo
Gran Canaria's nature and contrasts have made it worth of the Biosphere Reserve stamp, awarded by UNESCO. Its wide diversity includes a rocky centre, filled with histroy and mystery, created by an active volcanic past.
You have probably seen a photograph of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga, the most admired "rocks" in Gran Canaria. The steep silhouette can be seen from anywhere in the centre of the island and you can get to them from many marked paths is always an interesting excursion.
If you decide to venture to La Cumbre we recommend wearing warm but light clothing and comfortable shows. The elevated areas are surrounded by fog and its temperature is much lower than in the rest of the island. If you travel in winter, you might even get to see snow, contrasting with the mild temperatures you can enjoy at the beach.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
For those who love climbing, Roque Nuble is a good option. It used to be a sacred place for the aboriginals and they also made sacrifices and rituals nearby.
Climb up to Mirador Degollada de Becerra and Pico de las Nieves, at 1.949 metres, and enjoy the sublime views.
After a long day, there is nothing better than enjoying a traditional meal. Near La cumbre you will find the towns of Tejada and Artenara.

Caldera de Bandama
Caldera de Bandama is proof of the island's volcanic past. This spectacular crater is one of the most amazing settings you will find encounter during your holiday in Gran Canaria. The 800 metre diameter and 200 metre depth are protected for its great ecological value.
You can wander aroound the inside through a path surrounded by nature and silence, an experience well worth living. During the journey you will encounter cacti, palm trees, exotic plants and a few abandoned houses.
In the highest points of your journey you will be able to admire a beautiful view of Gran Canaria and the caves guanches built as a refuge, thousands of years ago.
HAVE A TASTE OF THE VOLCANIC WINE!
Located near the crater is the Real Club de Golf, Spain's oldest golf course and one of the most important wine exploitations on the island. Growing the wine crops amongst volcanic rocks transmits a genuine flavour to the wine. Dare to try the "volcanic" wine! And enjoy an explosion of flavour.

If I book Flight + Hotel, when will I receive my travel documents?
Once the booking is confirmed you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The voucher for the hotel will be also sent by email plus the vouchers for any other services (car hire, transfer, travel insurance) if booked.
Please note that no flight tickets are sent due to most airlines using e-tickets. You only need to print our confirmation email where the Airline`s booking reference appears and take it with you to the airport with your ID/Passport documents.
Important: Some Low Cost Airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Wizzair, Blueair and others) now request all passengers to check-in online and print the Boarding Cards before departure through their corresponding websites. Failure to do so, these airlines will charge you a supplement at the airport.
