Just returned from 4 nights staying at this hotel. I can honestly say the stay was faultless. The room (loft room 505) was huge and had 2 tvs, a kitchen area, seating area, large comfortable bed and outside private balcony area with seating. The room was kept beautifully clean and the reception staff could honestly not do enough for you. The hotel has started doing breakfasts again for 12eur if you want a convenient buffet breakfast before you head out. Roy on reception was so helpful and organised for a bus to pick us up for a day at Terezin rather than us go to the meeting point and was full of helpful information. He could not do enough for anyone who needed anything and was just a pleasure to talk to, all the reception staff were lovely though. As you come out the hotel there is a road opposite where we had the best Vietnamese food from Pho, just 100 yards up the road. There were other restaurants on the same street with Italian and local cuisine too. On your right as you leave the hotel is a tesco express just 50 yards away for snacks or anything you need. If you carry on walking a little further up there are fast food places such as KFC and McDonald’s. I would say that this hotel is worth every penny and we will definitely be back.

“Pleasant short stay”

Very pleasant room which was a good size & well furnished. Very good radiators keep it warm. Breakfast was typical European buffet affair. Bar/restaurant was attached, with friendly staff, reasonably priced food & drinks, sports on tv & piped music.

Had one of the Loft suites with an enclosed terrace and a small open one. The suite was huge and the balcony very welcome, but the general ambience of the room is maximum three stars. The bedding is also not exactly very comfortable. The location looks better on the map than what it is in reality because walking there from the station is a nightmare and taking public transport requires some figuring out. Wouldn’t have thought that I.P.Pavlova is probably the best stop to get to the hotel. The breakfast is very nice in theory and we went three mornings. Unfortunately 2 out of the three mornings, the lady (or ladies) working there had no eye on the state of the buffet at all and basically almost everything was missing: no butter, no bread rolls, no cheese only one yoghurt left etc. It took them forever to realize that things had run out and to replace them. If you are paying for the breakfast there should be a greater effort to make sure everything is always available as much as possible. And it’s no surprise to the hotel that „rush hour“ at the breakfast is at around 09:30-10:00 so prepare for it! The hotel was cheaper than other options in the Center with balcony or terrace and I get a feeling why. The downstairs staircase looks a bit like a palace, but the rooms are maximum 3 stars and dated. Breakfast could be good, if the ladies working there can be motivated more.

Good location, not far from Wenceslas Square & No.22 Tram, Bar/restaurant at the front of the Hotel seems to be the only thing around so gets busy, food looked okay but our Goulash was lukewarm. Don't expect too much from the Standard Rooms - ours (205) was over the bar so you could hear the football supporters! Beds were okay but the single thin pillow was inadequate, also the rather antiquated shower attachment over the bath really didn't cut it! Can't comment on breakfast as we decided to eat out. Overall was possibly the cheapest 4star at the time of booking, but I don't know who gives these star ratings!
