I stayed here in late August 2022 whilst attending a friend's wedding being held at the Casino next door. I have to admit that prior to my trip I was a tad apprehensive after reading the previous reviews. However, I feel that the majority of these reviewers are unfairly harsh, or potentially the hotel has come out of the pandemic swinging. It is not fair to compare this hotel, situated in an idyllic mountain village in eastern Europe to a modern 4* in London or another western European capital. The views from the third floor up out of rooms on either side of the hotel of the surrounding forests are stunning. The rooms are basic but tastefully furnished to a good standard with very comfortable large beds. I had no complaints about the cleanliness of my room and my 'single' was easily big enough for a couple to fit comfortably. Whilst I only used the hotel restaurant for breakfast and drinks before heading out to other restaurants down in town the breakfast had a good, well-cooked selection of options with fresh dishes brought out regularly throughout the breakfast window. If I was to visit Sinaia again I would have no reservations staying at the Hotel Palace again in future.
