Stayed at the Sonesta Suites 2 times - for Christmas holiday and in January - excellent location, easy to find and drive to - surface outdoor parking lot was secure and easy to use - as a female traveling solo, I don’t like to use a large dark parking garage - could use remote start right from the room window - small lobby with market for snacks and drinks - quick elevator - had a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen and sleeper sofa. Comfortable bed. 2 TVs. Good A/C and heat. Quiet. I felt comfortable staying at this hotel as a solo female. Beautiful view of NYC skyline. Very close walk to Jersey City waterfront. Close walk to PATH entrance.

This year (2024) July/August, we stayed at this property for the third time. We now think of it as our home away from home (Singapore). This year out stay was for 5 weeks. As soon as we entered the reception lobby, we were welcomed by our old friends, George and Georgino. Our room was ready even at 6:30 am in the morning, and Lorenzo the Assistant General Manager did not disappoint us as far as the room location was concerned. We had opted for a one-bedroom suite, and he assigned us one with a splendid view. We always plan these trips well ahead of time, so the Sales Director, Samantha Levine was enough to give us a nice deal. She is very responsive and accommodating. As usual, we loved seeing Joneal and Ana, after a year. They are always smiling and so very helpful. The property runs smoothly because of the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager (Lorenzo). Theyb take real pride in keeping the place clean and functioning. When there was a problem with a few dryers in the laundry room, Lorenzo personally came over to inspect the issue and took corrective measures. Gabriel, the maintenance person, is helpful and prompt. The property has an Enterprise Car Rental location inside it and this is very helpful. Although the young female manager is a bit moody. Some days she is very friendly, but other days she can be quite curt. This is quite a contrast to all the wonderful staff in the Property. Sonesta Suites is very well located with Grove Street restaurants 15 mins’ walk away. The two train stations, Exchange Place and Newport, are also within 10 mins walk. The Exchange Place PATH train gets you to WTC in 5 mins. The Newport one goes to 33rd Street PATH station. We love Simply Sonesta Suites in Jersey City and hope to keep on coming back.
