on arrival no portes Reception staff very mediocre and totally bereft of any bedside manor ie totally disinterested and very hard to communicate with. after using my own portering skills got to room which was surprisingly good. clean plenty of towels and good facilities including microwave. No hand held shower or hand rail in bath wonderful view of waterway but beware noise from party boats. have not checked out yet so can not comment on inclusive breakfast yet So in conclusion more than adequate for one night but as with all Miami Accomodation nothing comes cheap.

“Excellent location”

We stayed here before our cruise. The location was awesome. We enjoyed site seeing around Miami. The Metromover was right across the street, which was great. We stayed here before our cruise. The location was awesome. We enjoyed site seeing around Miami. The Metromover was right across the street, which was great. The hotel stored our luggage for us until the room was ready, very nice not to lug it around. Our room was absolutely huge with a view of the city. We enjoyed walking the river walk just outside the hotel. The cons were that our shower didn't work and the continental breakfast was, meh. But for only 1 night we weren't very affected. We used Lyft to tour around and for our cruise port drop off, and they got us to and from here easily.

“A Pleasant Experience!”

We stayed twice in 8 days, before and after a cruise. We arrived from our flight mid-day. There were two people working check in, a young man (Kevin) took our information and started the process. The Assistant manager completed the process. We arranged a Hotel shuttle to the cruise port, $12/ person. Expensive but worked out well. Cruise morning chaos was eliminated. She was pleasant and courteous as was Kevin. The room was on the 3rd floor, on the rear of the building. Though a small room, it was adequate for our needs. The room was clean with fresh towels and supplies. The complimentary breakfast was less than expected. It was odd by all standards. Hard boiled eggs, cold bacon, the toaster did not work properly. There is an area to make waffles but the line and mess made it a non starter. There is room for improvement. We returned after our cruise early around 8:30 a.m. after disembarkation knowing that our reserved room would not be ready. We spoke to the same Assistant Manager to secure our luggage until our room was ready. We tried to find a local place to get a breakfast. walking in that area on a Sunday morning was not a pleasant experience. Sketchy characters on every corner. We retreated back to the Hotel and relative safety. The neighborhood is not the Hotels Fault!! The Assistant mgr. noticed we had come back and made a point to speak to my wife, then offered complimentary breakfast vouchers. It was a very kind gesture. We had coffee and a pastry. Later in the day we ventured out without a problem. Upon our return our room was ready. The Assistant Mgr. informed us that she was upgrading us to a suite. It was a beautiful room on the 7th floor. Spotlessly clean with all supplies. We were very happy with our stays. I regret that I can not remember the Assistant managers name. My receipt notes SMANYO as the person who checked us in both stays. She was terrific! There is room for improvement at breakfast and a bar area should be a consideration. A pleasant experience. Front desk staff helpful, but short staffed so be prepared to wait. Rest of staff pleasant but don't speak Eng. Hotel is older, thin windows, making it a poor sleep and stay (esp for business!) between the highway, construction and party boats, coupled with non-sound proof windows, I would never stay again. Fixtures are old or just cheap, I was in 2 different rooms, the shower fixtures both seemed cheap and beaten with a mallet. I got locked in my hotel room one morning because the handle/lock broke and had to wait for maintenance to come get me out. (that was a first, and scary being 8 floors up). If you went to the pool area you were basically locked in because the door keys never worked all week, we had to flag other guests down to open the door every time just to get back in to the hotel. This is a budget hotel, but if you're here for business - spring an extra $100/night and get a better place, you'll be glad you did and probably have a more productive trip than going on no sleep for a week.
