Boston, Washington DC and Chicago

Travel across the fabulous US East Coast visiting three main and attractive cities

Discover the East Coast of the United States on this magnificent trip that runs through the three most important cities in this part of the country. The first stop is Boston, scene of some of the historical moments that gave rise to the birth of the United States as a nation, is now a vibrant city with lots to offer in terms of culture and cuisine. An international benchmark at financial, technological and educational level, with Harvard and MIT at the helm, welcoming attractions such as the Science Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the spectacular Skywalk Observatory. Its revolutionary past is reflected in gems like the Old State House and the Paul Revere House, although the best way to immerse yourself in its history is through the "Freedom Trail" tour for tourists. The next part of the trip takes place in Washington DC, the capital of the United States. In the National Mall park you will find some of the main points of interest, such as the Capitol building - seat of the nation's government; the Washington Monument - the tallest building in the area; and the Lincoln Memorial - where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I have a dream" speech. It is also home to several memorials (to those killed in the Second World War, the Korean War and the Vietnam War), and right next to it stands the White House, where the President lives. The museum options are immense here with the Holocaust, Natural History and American History museums deserving a special mention. In contention with Boston for the title of the country's second most-important city is Chicago, which is actually nicknamed "The Second City", where you will spend the last part of this tour through the main cities of the United States East Coast. But that's not the only nickname that it has; it is also known as "The Windy City" or "The Big Shoulders City", from being the world's birthplace of skyscrapers. Today, Chicago is a first-rate tourist destination because, amongst many things, it is the city of Al Capone and the Dry Law; where several of the tallest buildings in the world stand (such as the John Hancock Tower and the Willis Tower); it has some of the most fascinating art museums on the planet (including the Field Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Contemporary Art and, above all, the Art Institute); and is where legendary basketball player Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls come from ... Discover it for yourself; maybe you'll give it your own nickname! This trip is not one to be missed as it puts three ideal destinations at your fingertips to visit as a couple or as a family, with activities for all ages and all tastes.
