Rome and Amsterdam

Visit "the Eternal City" and the "City of Canals" in the same trip, two of the world capitals of culture and leisure

Thanks to this fantastic trip, you will be able to discover two of the most attractive capitals in Europe.

Rome, known as "the Eternal City", is a true open-air museum that combines the beauty of ancient times with the attractions of Renaissance, Baroque and modern Rome. Touring its historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is to discover some of the most impressive and relevant monuments of Antiquity. Its classic treasures include the imposing Colosseum and the magnificent Pantheon, two of the most influential buildings in the history of world architecture. But the list of its attractions is almost endless, as it houses an enormous heritage legacy that includes, among other imperishable jewels, the Vatican City and its Sistine Chapel, the legendary Trevi Fountain, Sant Angelo Castle, Trajan's Column ... Because Rome is as beautiful as its treasures are endless. Nor should you miss its magnificent squares, such as Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Campidoglio, Piazza del Popolo, della Rotondo, Minerva, and that of Spain, with its fabulous stairway, epicenters of the social life of the Romans.

The second stage of the journey takes place in

Amsterdam, the "City of Canals", a charming city designed for walking, because with the exception of bicycles and trams there is hardly any traffic in its urban center. The capital of the Netherlands perfectly combines its modern and cosmopolitan airs with an incomparable historical atmosphere, being for decades one of the most tourist cities in the world. A must visit are the Rijksmuseum, with Rembrandt's works as an essential element, the Van Gogh Museum, which exhibits part of the post-impressionist legacy of the famous painter, and the Anne Frank house, the house where the young Jewish woman hid from Nazi persecution. . Also enjoy the unmistakable beauty of its canals full of boats or visit the manicured parks that dot the entire city, where lively markets are held.

Important remarks

- Explore Rome at your own pace and without standing in long lines with the OMNIA Vatican and Rome Card that offers free and skip-the-line access to the main attractions of Rome and the Vatican (the Colosseum, Roman Forum, St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel) as well as allowing unlimited public transport access. The card includes free admission to the following points of tourist interest: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Basilica of St. John Lateran, Mamertine Prison, Rome Tourist Bus (3 days) and St. Peter's Basilica. In addition to the above you can choose two of the following attractions: the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, Capitoline Museums, Castel Sant'Angelo and/or Borghese Gallery. Another option is the Roma Pass card, a tourist card that allows you to access the main attractions at a discount and use unlimited public transport for 2 or 3 days. In addition to the discounts themselves, the Colosseum has a queue reserved for cardholders, which will save you from its long lines. These can be purchased at tourist information booths and at all participating museums and sites.

- Triple rooms in Europe are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.

- Check-in time at the hotel on the day of arrival depends on each establishment, but in no case will it be before 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.

- To avoid queues and crowds, you can book tickets to the most outstanding museums and exhibition halls online and in advance. We recommend trying to visit the museums early in the morning or in the afternoon. To obtain discounts on tickets and save yourself from having to queue, you can purchase cards such as the Holland Pass, the Museumkaart, the I Amsterdam City Card or the Rotterdam Welcome Card. Many museums offer special discounts for minors, students and pensioners.

- A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.

- Hotels usually have cots available. Otherwise, babies will have to share a bed with an adult.

- Consult the necessary documentation to enter the destinations visited and for transit in the countries where air stopovers are made.
